This series has been constructed from records that had not been maintained in original order in storage, and part of the series had also been damaged by water and mould in 2017 and recovered in 2018. The series has been arranged to represent the apparent function of the records.

Function / Content

This series consists of statement folders relating to the Royal Commission into Chamberlain Convictions. Most of the folders include a cover page that lists the name of the person, which legal proceeding the statement relates to and dates of the statements. The folders include statements from the inquests into the death of Azaria Chamberlain, correspondence relating to the submission of the statement, reports, copies of transcripts of proceedings (including hearings of the Royal Commission, police reports and interviews, and notes.
